The experience will change you! Spanish courses are given in modern, air-conditioned rooms, all with a view of the ocean, providing an ideal spot for learning Spanish at the beach. The beach provides an ideal break from the midday heat or for a quick swim during your break. Sometimes our Spanish teachers take students outside the facilities to hold a conversation hour in our rancho, the tropical gardens, or on the beach under the shade of a palm tree. Ecological trips, community interviews and other activities help students practice Spanish "en vivo" with local Costa Ricans. Our Spanish teachers are certified through Costa Rican Universities and the government and are outstanding at what they do. They work closely with you, ensuring excellent, interesting and practical classes that enhance language development. We offer small classes with 6 students maximum and use the communicative approach of language teaching which encourages fully engaged students and getting them on the road to successful language learning! Our methodology encourages students to speak as much Spanish as possible so our teachers use the 80/20 rule - teachers only speak 20% of the time while Spanish students speak 80% of the time. Between our home stays with ‘Tico’ (Costa Rican) families and our intensive classes you’ll be speaking Spanish right away!
