Venice is also known for its several important artistic movements, especially the Renaissance period. During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the Republic of Venice was a major maritime power, and a staging area for the Crusades, as well as a very important center of commerce and art from the 13th century until the end of the 17th century. This made Venice a wealthy city throughout most of its history, and it still has an elite feeling to this day. When students are finished with classes they can explore the architectural wonders, head out for great shopping, or eat some of the best cuisine that the world has to offer. Classes are held everyday from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 10:30 am and from 11:00 to 12:30 am,
