It's perfect for those looking for a balance between intensive learning in the morning and mostly free time in the afternoon - leaving you plenty of time to explore Bamberg and its surroundings and take part in our many activities.

Choose this course if you would like intensive group instruction in the morning but would also like to take advantage of individual training. Your course instructor can address your individual needs, questions and difficulties in the additional individual lessons per week.

A dynamic course which gives our students just the boost they need to become more confident in their language skills. Our courses place a lot of emphasis on fluency, and our teachers use discussions, debates, games, role plays, as well as authentic learning materials appealing to groups.

Ideal for students who want to learn the language more intensively. The additional lessons give one the opportunity to focus further on various aspects and contexts of the language - and still have time for the afternoon leisure activities! Standard German Course: 20 lessons per week* Monday to Friday, 9:30AM - 1:00PM (or 2:30PM - 6:00PM in high season) The Standard Course offers speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in small groups of maximum 10 participants (12 in high season)

Intensive German Course: 25 lessons per week* Monday to Friday, 9:30AM - 2:00PM (or 1:15PM - 6:00PM in high season) In the Intensive Course you will also develop the skills provided by our Standard Course with an additional special focus on communication. Maximum 10 participants (12 in high season)

Unlike the Standard Course, the Intensive Course also provides enough time to work on current topics from politics, culture and science. Hence, the 4 language skills listening, reading, speaking and writing will not only be trained based on a textbook but the teachers also use supplementary, specially selected materials.

The Standard Course focuses on learning and actively using language structures – this way the instruction is very much practice oriented. But what does this actually mean? Your teacher will assign you an active role while studying German and will draw you and your fellow students directly into his interactive instruction.
