Humboldt-Institut Lindenberg
One-to-one course: one student, one teacher
By getting individually taught by an experienced teacher students make the most of the time they have for a language course.
The teacher will focus on the personal needs of the a student and will custom-tailor the lessons according to his or her necessities. Taking one-to-one lessons will help learners who wish to attain a certain goal in a minimum of time or who have specific or individual needs and expectations. Courses are offered for every level of the German language.

Residential school on the edge of Lindenberg
Our school is located on the edge of Lindenberg on a little hill with gorgeous views of the mountains and the town, which is within easy walking distance (less than 10 minutes). The course center is a residential school, i.e., the classrooms are within the same building complex as the student dormitories. It lies amidst a beautiful park and next to a small forest, both of which belong to the school premises of the Humboldt-Institut.
Modern school facilities
Many classrooms have very large south-facing windows with breathtaking views of the Alps and all of them are equipped with modern teaching facilities. The house offers room for almost 200 students and has a fantastic infrastructure with lots of facilities for leisure activities.
Intensive Courses
In almost all of our centers for teenagers we teach intensive German courses with 30 lessons per week. The lessons are structured and designed for younger students: they are interactive and fun, yet at the same time demanding and very effective
Language Levels
We offer up to 6 different language levels, from total beginners to very advanced, or, according to the European Framework of Reference, levels A1-C2.
Class Size
Our small classes consist of 11 students on average. Such a small size ensures that individual attention is given to every single course participant. As we focus very much on the communicative approach of the language, while not neglecting grammar, we give heed to make every student talk and participate.
Tests
All students take a weekly exam which covers all the course content taught the preceding week, so that students and teachers alike can assess the progress made in the German language.
Homework
Our students are also expected to do some homework every day, yet they will still have plenty of time for extracurricular activities.

Lindenberg is an idyllic little resort town of 12,000 people located 800 meters above sea level and tucked away in the foothills of the Alps. The town features a very good infrastructure for our young students. The scenic surroundings and the close proximity to the Alps, to Austria and Switzerland, as well as Lake Constance, offer our students limitless opportunities for excursions and recreational activities.
My visit which was already my second, was equally as good as the first. I have learnt a lot of new things for myself, but despite that I had a lot of fun with my friends too. In terms of my teacher and classes, I can say that I have really enjoyed that as well. My teacher was amazing, very nice and extremely helpful. The school isn’t located in a very big city however, we went on trips during the week and on the weekend, and the activities provided there allowed people to not stay bored. Overall I liked everything and enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

I have been learning German in school for 4 years now and they put me in a class for complete beginners because they said I didn't do well on my placement test. I agree that I never mastered all the grammar in school that I should have but it was very boring spending 2 weeks reviewing all the very basics again.

Show details » Read more...The classes were not too long and we had frequent breaks for free time. I had different teachers for each week, which were both very good although they had very different teaching methods which proved to be a challenge. Also, as they did not know what we had been taught the previous week, there was some repetition. But overall the classes were a full immersion in the language and were very helpful. The location was good, removed enough from the noise of a city but we still had to opportunity to go into the town and experience the culture. The facilities were very good, the classrooms and free time areas were clean and modern and we were able to go on walks on the nearby trails which was nice. The rooms we stayed in were very clean and everything worked properly. I had no problems with the housing. The activities were sometimes repetitive or a little childish, but were overall very good.

For my experience at Humboldt Institut was good.I liked the classes and the teachers that I had.The thing I did not like very well were the locations where I had my lessons because they were very old.
During my stay I did a lot of activities: they were so funny, but they were repetitive.
