New York Language Center uses a practical approach to teaching our students English. Our highly conversational classes emphasize oral fluency as a major goal. From the very first class at even the basic level, students will use in a practical and realistic way. We believe that the ability to ask questions is a critical skill and we encourage active participation and natural production of language forms. In order to learn English, the language must become spontaneous. All classes include realistic practice in real life situations. Translation is not allowed. Many students who have studied English in their home countries know the language passively but cannot use it. We try to break the barrier.
Our instructors have specific goals for each week. These goals encompass what students can do at the end of the lesson. Oral and written assessments allow students to gauge their achievements.
NYLC has partnerships with the following universities and colleges in USA. You can gain full or conditional acceptance into one of these institutions.

The teachers were very motivating and presented different kinds of tasks every day, so that it was always interesting to attend their classes. There were lots of group work situations, where you could get to know your classmates better. Everyone was very nice and talkative. Although I could only stay for 3 weeks, I learned a lot because there were numerous possibilities to speak in class. At the weekends I took part in some of the excursions and had the chance to visit the Empire State Building with a student discount. The school facilities are very clean and comfortable. One learns in medium-sized classrooms with about 15 other students and during the breaks you can sit an talk in a nice modern lounge where you can watch the Broadway and enjoy a coffee or your lunch. The location was also great. My Airbnb was only a 10-minute walk away and after class I could quickly get anywhere from the nearby subway station.

It was the best experience of my life. I recommend the school! The diploma is wonderful and I am proud to have improved my English in New York!

It was a new experience for me , to contact with other international students for English learning,
What I dislike that classroom was small in size however , the teachers were good
The classes are very exciting and interesting, especially because the teachers are pretty good!
The location is ok, but the facility could be better, although the classroom is good (but sometimes small, due there were more than 15 students), but there were few restrooms for too many students and very often there were lines to wait.
I had two different kinds of classes, where the teacher emphasized different ways to improve the conversation and the both were very good.
Regarding the housing, I have stayed in Airbnb, that's why I am not able to talk about housing!
Well I liked a lot, but they could get better the facility to receive so many students!

According to my experience, the classes and teachers were very good. Very kind and practical classes. I like very much the way of teaching and how to learn the language. In special, the developing fluency. The location is great!! Just as an opportunity, I would like classes with less students. But in general, my experience was very good and I recommended it!
