Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Perth. These homes are often between 5 - 45 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about homestay housing
Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 18 - 70. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Student residences often do not include any meal plan. Ask a questionWe have a minimum booking period of two weeks I am afraid. This is because students miss lessons on day one due to orientation and some of their final day due to graduation.
Good afternoon from Lexis!
Thanks for your questions. All our teachers are fully qualified English Language Teachers, and to teach English in Australia they must hold both a Degree from a University plus teaching qualifications.
We have classes for all levels, beginner to advanced. On your first day you complete a placement test and are then placed in a class suitable for your level.
Thanks!
1. Yes, students are welcome to book only the tuition.
2. We will be happy to welcome the little sister at Lexis Perth as well and the younger students integrate just fine with our adult students, however we will not have homestay accommodation available to a student of this age, therefore she would need to be with her parents, or a guardian.
We are happy to make exceptions and with a student of this age we can usually accept them if a private arrangement is made with their accommodation. The younger students integrate just wonderfully into class with our adult students and we’ve had no issues in the past, it’s a nice experience that inspires them for future studies abroad.
The deposit is a bond that will be given back at the end just if the student didn’t break anything.
