Larnaka houses the main International airport of Cyprus. Probably the most appealing site of Larnaca to tourists is Phinikoudes (Palm Tree promenade) beach in the city centre. A great place to walk along the promenade, relax on the beach or have a bite to eat at one of the many surrounding cafes or restaurants.
Surrounding the promenades are the Marina and the Old Fort. A variety of exciting Boat trips is available from the Marina, such as a sunset or a day cruise around Larnaca Bay and onwards to the Ayia Napa resort.
At the other end of the promenade, the old Fort serves as a venue for various cultural events, a must for those interested in a taste of history. There are also many other exciting things to see in and around Larnaca, including museums, monasteries, the Mazotos camel park, and the 18th-century aqueduct.
