Montepulciano is a hill town in Southern Tuscany. Sitting high on a limestone ridge, this city is world renowned for its wine production. It is also a major producer of a variety of foods, including cheese and honey. According to legend, this city was founded by King Porsenna of Chiusi, with proof showing that a settlement was in existence in this place as early as the 4th century BC. Students enrolled in Italian school in Montepulciano should be prepared to do lots of walking. Residents and visitors alike spend enjoy strolling through this town visiting its many landmarks. Be sure to visit the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. It was built in the late 16th century, and is known for an interior altar designed by Andrea della Robbia, a famous Italian Renaissance sculptor. No visitor should miss seeing The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. It was constructed between 1594 and 1680 and showcases a masterpiece from the Sienese School, a massive Assumption of the Virgin triptych which was painted by Taddeo di Bartolo in 1401. Students studying Italian courses in Montepulciano will be likely to traverse the long winding street known as the Corso, 1.5 kilometers in length leading to the main square – the Piazza Grande at the summit of the hill. A visit to the Palazzo Comunale is another popular stop, where a climb up its 15th century tower leads to some amazing views. Like the rest of Tuscany, Montepulciano enjoys mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. Group courses are for those who want to learn the Italian language in the mornings, in the company of other students, in small groups. Courses are divided into six levels, from beginner to advanced, and combine the study of language, culture and current affairs.
Intensive courses give students the chance to bolster the group course with one or two hours a day of individual lessons, to go over the grammar or practice language skills.

Italian group courses + 1 consolidate the standard Italian language course with one 50-minute individual class in the afternoon, for a total of twenty-five 50-minute lessons a week.

Italian group courses + 2 consolidate the standard Italian language course with two 55-minute individual classes in the afternoon, for a total of thirty 55-minute lessons a week.
Private lessons are for those students who are looking for a custom Italian language program that meets their individual needs. Individual tuition can be conceived as a true private course based on the needs and wishes of the student who prefers to work alone with a teacher for one or more weeks.

Our family program is designed for parents and children/teenagers between the ages of 7 and 14 and runs from July 1 to 26, 2024 (minimum stay: 1 week). Montepulciano is the ideal place for young learners to start with the Italian language while their parents deepen their knowledge in the adult courses.
