Dubai is one of the seven territories that makes up the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is home to the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, which stands at an impressive 828 m (2,717 ft). Dubai has the largest population in the (UAE) and the second largest amount of land as well. Although Dubai was formally established in the 19th century, it wasn’t until oil was found in 1966 that Dubai’s economy really exploded. Nowadays, Dubai is an economic hub and filled with ornate modern architecture and resorts.
