More about studying in Brisbane »
The city of Brisbane has a lot to be proud of, because despite its transformation into a sleek, cosmopolitan city--complete with an outstanding Gallery of Modern Art, a great live music scene and fabulous cafés-- the "Brissies" as they are called, can still retain the laid-back, easygoing attitude of the small community they once were. Studying English courses in Brisbane is ideal for the night owl, the culture junkie, or the mellow artist. Head over to the South Bank for a scenic river walk and a dose of culture; this area of the city offers some of the city's hippest ethnic restaurants, the Performing Arts Center and a beach along the way! For swanky shopping and trendy new restaurants, visitors may want to visit New Farm which is the city's up and coming "hot spot". Perhaps one of the most inviting aspects of being at an English school in Brisbane is the climate, which provides year round comfortable weather with warm summers and mild winters.

Which course type is right for me?
Intensive Study: For adults who want to learn a language as quickly as possible for academic or professional reasons.
Test Preparation: For students who want to prepare for language proficiency tests.
Business: For business executives who want to study a language to be able to do business.
Junior: For children ages 8 to 12 and teenagers ages 13 to 18 who want to study a language in the summer.
How long should I study?
The minimum duration for a language course is usually two weeks, but students benefit the most starting from the 3rd and 4th weeks of their language course, after they get used to the new environment. By this time, the early distractions are over and the student has "settled in". The average student takes about 12 weeks of language studies abroad.
