Classifying Armenia as European or Asian is a difficult decision. Taking Armenian courses in Armenia is a much easier decision and one that will have many benefits in the future. Armenia's economy is booming, its cities are modernizing, and its people are welcoming the change with open arms. Located in the Caucus region, Armenia prides itself as the world's first Christian country, and eagerly showcases its many monasteries in places like Tatev, Haghpat and Noravank. Visit one of the more impressive ancient monasteries in Khor Virap for unobstructed views of Mount Ararat. The two-peaked freestanding volcano is full of legend and dominates the skyline of Yerevan, the capital city. Wander the streets of the bustling capital and compliment locally-inspired work at the National Art Gallery. During the weekend Vernissage market near Republic Square, bargain with sellers hawking everything from handmade carpets to local produce to Soviet era memorabilia. Visit stalactite-filled caves inhabited by people, explore timeless villages along the Debed river canyon, and admire stone houses with arched windows in Goris. Skiers flock to Tsaghkadzor, bikers attempt the Armenia Tour Route, and spa aficionados find healing mineral waters in Jermuk. With large Lake Sevan, there's plenty of time to sunbathe and windsurf too. Kind and humble locals will grace you with their presence at all occasions and joining them for a hearty meal of meats and vegetables is an unforgettable experience. After learning the local language at an Armenian school in Armenia, the table conversation will be just as wonderful.

Which course type is right for me?
Intensive Study: For adults who want to learn a language as quickly as possible for academic or professional reasons.
Test Preparation: For students who want to prepare for language proficiency tests.
Business: For business executives who want to study a language to be able to do business.
Junior: For children ages 8 to 12 and teenagers ages 13 to 18 who want to study a language in the summer.
How long should I study?
The minimum duration for a language course is usually two weeks, but students benefit the most starting from the 3rd and 4th weeks of their language course, after they get used to the new environment. By this time, the early distractions are over and the student has "settled in". The average student takes about 12 weeks of language studies abroad.
