LASC’s English as a Second Language program aims to endow students with the fundamental skills necessary to become competent English speakers. The REAL program prepares international students to achieve the English language proficiency required for success in an academic degree program and as a professional in their respective field of study. Eight 8-week courses take students from elementary to upper intermediate English proficiency in all skills--reading, writing, listening, speaking, pronunciation, and grammar through an integrated communicative approach, with an emphasis on academic language and cross cultural communication.

LASC’s Business English program is a one-year multi-level program which uses a research-based curriculum for upper-intermediate to advanced students. The aim of the program is to develop and enhance students’ abilities to communicate in commercial and cross-cultural communication settings involving business.

This Course provides students with listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar.
