The major shopping and entertainment area of Yorkville is only a few minutes' walk away. The school is on the second and third floors of a unique modern building with an open air courtyard.
Teachers explained questions clearly when I was confused.
They were very friendly!! And my classmates were so young, almost 20’s, but I really enjoyed my classes every day. A month has passed quickly! Moreover, I had activities with my teacher three times a week . They made some plans for me because I might be tired if I walk for a long time. I enjoyed the cafe, the restaurant and the shop etc.in activities.
Thank you for everything.
The school is really nice, I had the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world. The staff is polite, always available and there are many activities to do in the afternoon. Plus the school is well located !
Highly raccomando.
I liked each and every part of the school and the courses, I have nothing to complain about.
I have appreciated in particular the activities and having the possibility to get to know better other students!
I felt welcomed by the teachers and never felt judged, thank you!
Because of kind teachers it was easy to get used to system. I recommend afternoon class than morning class. Sometimes morning class is too easy for me. But if you are totally beginner, morning class will be good option.

Show details » Read more...The ielts preparation classes were really interesting and we practiced all of the parts of the exam: writing, reading and speaking. I never get bored because the classes were always very dynamic and the teachers were very friendly. I particularly liked Conor for the reason that he is at the same time very professional and relaxed so he creates a trusting environment in the classroom what makes everyone feel good and confident.
LSI location is great! It is super central and so close of subway stations. It’s easy to get there! There are also parks and basketball courts near by and a lot of restaurants and bars.
I specially liked the extra activities that LSI provide to students. It is the best way to meet new people and also improve our speaking skills.
In my opinion it was an amazing! You made my experience in Canada so much better! Thank you!
I learn a lot at English Course , the global experience was very nice and I learn a lot.

The things I didn't like so much was the class's temperature because it was really cold for me. Each day, I kept my jacket during almost the whole time's class. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

I had my own apartment, because I was working since 3 month before. But when I joined lsi school was like home, which I was actually missing. Clean, efficient and great teachers as well. Highly recommend.
Show details » Read more...I’m very disappointed of this program. Teachers often prepared for classes minutes before the class started, the age gap between students was significant and that interfered with solid and coherent technical debate in class, some teachers would make us watch Netflix series for the entire class(I filed a complaint about this matter with Amanda that did not have any following), program did not have specific objectives or planning everything was improvised, the ¨only-speak English inside of the building rule¨ was never enforced, I expected a person in the field of Law to teach my elective(English for Law).
Show details » Read more...I had a really good experience in LSI. Linda was a fantastic teacher and was very flexible and considerable of what I wanted to study.
Show details » Read more...It was amazing to meet people from different cultures. In the house I felt lacked being able to watch tv, there was freedom and space in the room. But sincerely I not liked the class, perhaps my expectation was very high, but my English didn´t improve much in class. My focus was to learn, I spent more than half the time without understanding what the teacher was talking in class. I guess I should have less theory and more practice. More conviviality with the language and less details of the grammar. Imagine teaching grammar for a child is 4 year old, that's how I felt. I had several teachers and I noticed that there was no didactic plan, because each teacher chose a subject to teach, there was no logical sequence of classes. However, the food was very tasty, the house clean and comfortable.
Show details » Read more...My experience in Toronto was really good and unforgettable. Thanks to LSI I met a lot of people and made lots of friends. The classes were interesting and I feel like I’ve learned a lot. I specially like that we did a lot of speaking, which I think is really important. The teachers were really good and I appreciate that they tried to learn everyone’s names, and also make the classes funny. The activities were cool, I specially enjoyed the barbecue at Woodbine Beach. My house and host family were nice, although they were quite strict. At the beginning they were worried about me walking alone in the streets because I’m a minor, but they talked with my mom and she told them that it was OK so they calmed down. Everyday when I came home from school they asked me about my day so I could practice and improve my English. They were attentive and they cooked really well.

The teachers I think are not prepared to teach, not only have to know how to speak a language for teaching must have knowledge of teaching, my assessment in this regard is very low.
My learning has been minimal, I've learned more in the street than in school.
The house where I stayed was fine and I have no complaints about the hostess, everything was right.
My final assessment is not very good, I'm disappointed.
The school and courses are very well organized. Teachers have been very helpful and they have everyone participate, so you cannot stay silent in your little corner. My teacher was Gwyneth, she was very nice : I had planned to stay only one week so she provided me with all kinds of extra documents to study back at home, like the common mistakes made in English, that sort of things.
I also liked the discussions and the fact that other students were friendly and very open too.
I must say that on the first day I was not very pleased with the fact that my course had been scheduled in the afternoon, because when my mum booked the course months ago, it was supposed to be in the morning.
Because my parents had arranged my stay with afternoon activities with Canadian people they knew, M. Lesperance was kind enough to move me in the morning, also because I had booked so early at the end of the winter, when the new schedule was not out yet. I really thank him for having accepted my request in such a kind way.
Altogether I am very happy about everything, and I feel more confident having a talk in English, and I also understand better.
Thanks LSI Toronto.
(I did not rate the social activities as I did not participate to them)
My first class was really good, the teacher was very nice and he explained the lessons very well. The class was very good because of the students as well.
My second class, the teacher in my opinion was better. But in my class there were too many students who speaks Spanish all the time instead of English. This was annoying for the other students who cannot understand Spanish as well as for the teacher.
My home-stay was really, really good. They were nice, showed me around and so on.
I participated in just one activity organized by the school. It was horse back riding. It was so cool. We rode along the beach.
What was really cool was you meet so many people from different countries. And made friends from all over the world.
I think the location for my homestay is far, but it's ok. The school was very interesting and the teachers are friendly.
The price for me is expensive because I am comparing it with another school.
Thanks for everything.
The location of LSI is really good because it's so close to downtown. What I liked the most was that the classes were small and it felt like a family. The teachers were always willing to talk about everything, and they always care about the students. The classes were different everyday. There was always a different thing to do. If the activities got boring, the teachers always found a way to make it attractive.
Show details » Read more...I really enjoyed all about my course. The teachers got right to grammar that we needed to learn, they were very good teachers, LSI Toronto is in a good neighborhood and important street, very good location, near to subway, its staff were very kind with me and I think that they offer many things like telephone for free local call, lunch area, computer place and help with week and weekends activities, it was important to me that I stayed in a housing near LSI.

I was visited may tourist & historical places in addition to good weather when its compare with weather in my country now (the temperatures reach 50). The most important thinks in this vacation is the scientific beneficial program for English learning at Language International school. I like the classes, teachers & all the other staff are cooperated &friendly. Its nice to see other people with different counters & I think very important to learning from any one with different cultures because sure he has many ideas I did not its before

It was my first experience studying abroad, so it was very important to me, to believe and to trust . It has hapenned in a short period, one week. The most important was the opportunity to stay among a business class, despite my intermediate level. I asked to change class, because I'd not liked the kind of subjects in the intermediate level. The way how Gwyneth (responsible to teach in business class )had taught the lessons, fostered me to participate and contribute with the business contents, my purpose to develop my english. Besides it was amazing to share experiences about my company and to listen about other business testimonial. English related to business subjects were decisive to put this course in a high position for me.
Show details » Read more...LSI is a good school to learn English. Both in Toronto and Vancouver they make their best so that we can improve our English skills. The classmates, and in general all the people who is involved in make you feel comfortable, and like I say, I had not had such a great time in years. Nevertheless, there are some negative points:
1- In Toronto there were only three teachers, so there were only three levels, so people in intermediate and advanced levels (like me) were mixed together, and I think that is unfair since we all were paying to be in the correct grade, that generated that people in intermediate level felt stressed because the rhythm of the class was so fast, and people who were supposed to be at advanced level felt bored or disappointed. Because of the very few number of teachers, the number of afternoon classes was two, I wanted to take a TOEFL preparation course, but there was not any, so they just put me in a conversation class. The computers available for the students were 7, but 3 of them were broken, and the other 4 worked with Windows 2000 (ten years later), so they were so slow, and only 2 or 3 had real access to internet; even worse, by the end of January, the internet went off, so nobody at LSI had internet in my last week.
2. The HI in Toronto was great, the people were really helpful, they had lots of activities, but there were a lot of robberies, so, even if that is not the fault of the people who work there but of the guests, they should pay more attention to that.
In Vancouver the school was different, they had more computers, all of them were working, the wireless internet worked as well, the number of teachers was enough, they had a variety of options for the afternoon classes, so everybody was satisfied. Although the people who work there are not as friendly as people at LSI Toronto, they are more professional, so that is a real school. Even though in Vancouver the classes were more demanding, I had more fun there than in Toronto, and I am sure that I would have improved my English skills in a better way if I had spent the two months there rather than what I actually did.
I liked my lessons in LSI Toronto. Teachers and all the staff are professional and friendly. I liked particularly my individual lessons with Zoltan. I have improved my english with him.
In my opinion, the group was a little bit large,12 to 15. There were younger students than me.We didn't have the same goal and same priority.
I would like more intensive lessons.
Individual lessons are too short.
This school is good, I think the school could improve the selection process in differents level of classes. In reference with the location and facilities is good. I didn't take extra activities for this reason I don't give my opinion. My homestay is very beautiful, the house is big and clear and the family is very talkative. Mrs Rina cooks very well.
