You will find Colegio Delibes in one of the main streets, five minutes walking from the Plaza Mayor which is the city centre and a typical meeting point in Salamanca.
We are in a recently restored historical building, fully equipped with the latest technology. You enter the school through a spacious entrance to find twenty six air conditioned classrooms, one video and conference room, our free internet hall, the coffee area where you can have a chat with your friends during the break times and of course the library.
Our college’s best characteristic is a very international ambience where you will meet people from all over the world and all sort of ages. You will be able to enjoy together not only your lessons but also a wide range of after-class activities included in our complete programme, we start the week with a bowling competition and finish it with some dancing lessons or a dinner out and a party, we have some sports in the middle and our very typical “tapas” outing.
Once you have decided that you want to learn or practice your Spanish, you will be able to choose from ten different types of courses. You can learn just the language or do something extra like Culture, Literature, Business or Translation, if you need to be fluent quickly, we have another special course “to get you speaking” sooner than expected. Maybe you want very specific Spanish for your job or a tailor made course just for you or the D.E.L.E exam ( the official diploma of the Spanish Government showing your level of the language). You can study nearly anything you want.

You can choose your accommodation for your stay with us from five different options. We have excellent host families where you will “have to” speak Spanish, you can share a fully equipped apartment with some of our students or live in our own students residence and get everything done for you. If you prefer a hotel or even a private studio just for you, it’s also possible.

Our philosophy is: “The best service at a reasonable price”

The school has been granted with the most important certificate in Spain: Recognition from Instituto Cervantes.
Nothing it was amazing
Honestly could not finde any way to improve this experience thank you
Classes where intensive, teachers where ambitious. The house of the institute had been closed and without heating for two weeks holidays, so there where really cold during the first week. Activities where suitable and interesting. There where no excursions to other cities, because of lack of participation. So I went by myself. Salamanca is a very beautiful, cosy and interesting city

Some internet browsing told me that Salamanca was a good place to learn Spanish and I located Delibes on line.
At first I was anxious that I would be so much older than the other students and that I might feel out of place, but the Delibes staff were very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The college is very well organised and they quickly graded me into a level of Spanish that suited where I was at. The teachers were challenging but also very nice. I also enjoyed my classmates who came from many different countries.
I particularly enjoyed the afternoon and evening activities programme that the school provided. These covered different aspects of Spanish culture, history, geography and comida.
I stayed in a homestay that I found myself. It was within 15 minutes walk from Delibes Colegio. Salamanca is a great place to visit. It is very safe and you can walk everywhere. There are lots of interesting places to visit.
My only regret was that I only had two weeks. It would have been great to have more time to make more progress.
The school is easy to find in Salamanca and has a very central location. The teachers are very friendly and motivated in teaching, which makes learning the language easier. I was in a class of about 9 students from all over the world to learn Spanish. It was very interesting to get to know new cultures and to make many new international friendships. The activities during the week were not very varied, especially if you stay longer than a week. In contrast to the activities at the weekend which were amazing. On the one weekend went to riding on the other in a Finka for bathing, eating paella and playing with a young bull.

It is possible to live in a rented apartment during your study in Salamanca, but this tends to be more expensive. COLEGIO DLEIBES provides some assistance with apartment rentals or you can rent an apartment on your own. Learn more about apartment housing
