IH Cologne is a language school with an excellent reputation, communicative teaching in small group sizes, high qualified teachers and a very unique and welcoming atmosphere.
Students can choose from a variety of courses like standard intensive or evening courses, exam preparation, business German and the unique tailormade course that provide personalized classes with a special focus of your choice (fluency/grammar/pronounciation and more).
IH Cologne also provides Teacher Training courses for DaF. All the German trainers at IH Cologne work with a highly communicative teaching approach that makes classes engaging and playful yet challenging. In the beginners levels little excursions into cafés or marketplaces round off the classes.
IH Cologne has facilities that include a library and a student lounge. The school offers a monthly social and leisure calendar to invite students to practice their German skills while taking part in some extra activities.

IH Cologne Insula is located in Ehrenfeld, one of the most colourful neighbourhoods of Cologne. Close to the city center, yet in a quiet area, you find the school in a charming old building on the groundfloor. Shops, supermarkets, cafés, bars and clubs are all within walking distance.
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
