Maltalingua is a school where students come from all over the world, looking to improve or even start learning English and to develop their fluency. There are students who need English for work, for business or just for themselves.
Maltalingua offers General English and Private classes for all levels, and also offers specialized courses like Business English and IELTS Exam preparation. The teachers all have the required teaching qualifications such as the TEFL or CELTA Certificate (University of Cambridge) or even a higher qualification and have experience teaching students from all over the world.
Situated in St. Julian’s, the central city of Malta, this fantastic location provides opportunities for students to practice their English inside and outside the classroom.
The spacious classrooms are all equipped with air-conditioning systems and are designed to keep the student comfortable but attentive. There is also a library where students can sit down and read a book specifically written for their level, or focus on the various homework assignments that teachers give students every week.
Free-time activities and excursions take place every week with teachers who encourage the students to speak as much English outside the classroom as possible and engage with the local Maltese people. Fellow students soon become friends whilst sharing this enriching experience together.
The school has a beautiful rooftop swimming pool, which is perfect for refreshing on a hot summer day.
All types of accommodation can be booked through the school. Students have the option of living with a friendly host family (where English is spoken at all times), in an apartment with students from all around the world, or by themselves.
Since 2013 we have also been running a language programme specially designed for juniors. Now younger students have the opportunity to experience Malta and Maltalingua with their parents or friends whilst learning an important new skill.
The nationality and age mix at Maltalingua School of English varies over different time periods, courses and levels.
Our school is located 100 meters from the sea in the beautiful Ballutta Bay area of St Julians. The area has a small beach, excellent hotels and many great cafes and restaurants.
The school is within walking distance of many of Malta's most popular tourist areas.
There was a single 'Junior Class', so language skill test were overlooked. The age range was huge.
I did not learning really something. That was not really a school experience.
Most kids were on their mobile phones checking social media or gaming. The instructor did not care at all.
Classes and teachers were very friendly and professional. The cafeteria in the school is perfect to meet the schoolmates and teachers. The staying in school's apartments was perfect - English speaking from early morning to late night. Also location of the school and apartments was totally excellent. I really enjoyed whole the time in Maltaligua school.

Show details » Read more...I have generally only had good experiences with this school. My accommodation was great, very varied weekly changing activities and the courses were also very well adapted to the students. I felt that I was assigned to the right level (B2) and was therefore optimally supported in my progress. The cafe and the pool on the roof top provide a very relaxed atmosphere, I felt really welcome instantly. I would recommend this school to everyone.
Show details » Read more...First of all the location of school is very comfortable. It’s close to main streets and sea . There’s a lot of restaurants close to it, but I never used them because kitchen in the school is homemade and really tasty. I also liked the building of school it seems like an old style house with some nice details. For example like doors or windows. There is on the rooftop a swimming pool but unfortunately I didn’t have chance to use it because it’s already was cold weather. One of my favorite place was terrace. On the break everyone was chilling together there and speaking English at least trying

Show details » Read more...I had a good experience in Maltalingua School. The classes were with a good number of students (no more than 10). It was a very good atmosphere. It was an advantage, I think, because the teachers were young people.
For the improvement of the school, I think it is important to have some teachers with more experience.
The location of the school was ideal. There were a lot of activities outside the time of school. My house was optimal – had no problems and had very very good food. The last three weeks were better because I was alone in the room.
