We are a prestigious non-profit school, ranked in the top 3% of all schools in the country, according to the Mexican Ministry of Education (ENLACE-SEP).
Our language school seeks to promote cultural exchange and a better understanding of the world, not only among our students but also throughout the world.
Our language courses are part of the school's strategy to provide the students of the school with the skills necessary to succeed in life.
The theoretical basis of our teaching includes constructivism, neurolinguistics and critical pedagogy.
We continually update our methods based on the latest research in language education and teaching.
All of our teachers are native speakers and have been trained in applied linguistics and/or language teaching at the post-graduate level in leading universities. They have also been selected based on their strong interpersonal skills, humility and growth mindset.
They are all involved in research projects in applied linguistics or in the development of teaching materials with major publishers (e.g. UNAM, Oxford University Press).
We have developed our courses to be highly personalised - whether in a group or private setting.
We always take into account the interests, learning styles and goals of our students, as well as their cognitive skills, which we seek to further develop.
This is extremely beneficial for our language students as it provides meaningful learning experiences. Throughout our programs, students are challenged and their learning process becomes more effective.
Generally, students complete our program early and move to the next level in less time than expected.
In turn, we are proud to say that we have had exceptional students who have challenged us; many of our students are in their thirties or older, have completed graduate studies, and are very curious in their learning.
This creates a great environment for learning and having fun at the same time!
The nationality and age mix at Juan Rulfo School varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 33. In the summer, the average age is 25.
