First of all the location right at Columbus Circle and Central Park is just magnificent, as well as the easy connection from my two homebases (first Brooklyn and then Upper Manhattan).
Our teacher Paul Blomquist seems to be a highly capable and well-educated language professor. The small classes of five students on a comparable C2 language level allowed us to have an almost one-to-one study experience. We ran through all four language skills - speaking, writing, reading, and listening - in modules, and professional development.
I studied 4 lessons a day, from 11am to 3pm, which was perfect for me, so I could spend my time in the morning before class, and in the afternoon, after class, for visiting museums etc. according to my schedule.
I once joined a evening activity; we went to a drag show (adults only) which was fun. the teacher who accompanied us, Ashley, ist very engaged, friendly and eager into animate everyone to get into conversations.
My landlady Sally deJesus was al lovely woman, a poet too and someone with a lot of stories to tell. The room in her apartment was clean, nice and cute. The house is located close to the East River and the Riverside Park, which is beautiful. The area seemed save. It was a new experience for me up there, because I didn't know this area full of Pueroriquenos and Hispanics. Subway number 1 brings you right into Manhattan.
I loved my whole stay from A to Z. Thank you!

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying full time in the United States for more than 18 hours per week, you will receive an I-20 that you need to submit to the US embassy along with your F-1 student visa application. The I-20 has a SEVIS tracking number on it. Students who wish to apply for a student visa must pay the SEVIS fee online before going to the US embassy or consulate for their visa interview.
Your I-20 will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged $100 when you register.
Please note that United States law states that an I-20 can only be issued to students who intend to pursue full-time English language studies. United States law does not permit students to study part-time with an F-1 Student Visa. If you are studying for less than 18 hours per week, you have to apply for a Visitor Visa (B1/B2) on your own.
Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to New York City based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
