ACCOMMODATION
OISE Newbury provides residential accommodation with single, en-suite rooms. Meals are provided in the school dining hall. Special dietary requirements can be considered and vegetarian options are always available.
ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS
Evening social programme is provided, encompassing a wide range of interests. Sports include football, tennis, tabletennis,badminton and basketball. Other activities include Book Club, cooking and arts&craft. Relevant trips and excursions can be arranged as part of the timetable. Students staying more than two weeks visit local places such as Oxford, London, Windsor, Reading and Newbury town itself.
OISE welcomes information about the hobbies and interests of its students, to help staff tailor activities towards their preferences. Please feel free to mention these as part of your enquiry.
ARRIVAL
Students are greeted by members of the Newbury /OISE courier team from certain airports, within standard hours, as part of the package. Outside of the summer, students are transferred straight from the airport to the school. During the summer months the majority of students will be accompanied from the airport to a waiting area, until they are taken onward to the school.

COURSE
The open curriculum provides a unique adaptive timetable, defined by a careful needs analysis on arrival which is repeated throughout the pupil’s stay. A detailed study plan is developed for every subject which is personalised for each pupil. Timetables are bespoke, so rather than try to make the individual fit the school, the school adapts the programme to the person.

An attractive Berkshire market town with good sports and leisure facilities, only 30 minutes from Oxford and 45 minutes from London by train. OISE Newbury is open all year round offering courses from 1 to 52 weeks duration. The school has excellent study facilities and a residential house of individual study bedrooms (each with private bathroom) and a school dining hall serving 3 meals a day.
The nationality and age mix at OISE Newbury varies over different time periods, courses and levels.
Newbury is a traditional English market town located in Berkshire, only 96km west of London and conveniently placed for Oxford, Bath, the glorious beaches on the south coast as well as the ancient druid site of Stonehenge. In addition, the town has excellent rail links to London allowing students to enjoy the peaceful countryside without ever being too far from the hustle and bustle of the capital.
The lessons were great and helpful. The teachers were always nice and I really enjoyed the time I spent at Newbury Hall.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from . Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.
If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
