Course description

Amistads' custom designed and constantly refined programs have been praised by Universities and students both. At AICR we have developed our programs from the ground up with over 15 years of hands on experience. Learning is our Passion.
An intense though simple review of Spanish basics. These courses include Spanish grammar rules, emphasis on pronunciation for increased ease of conversation and allows plenty of practice time for verbal and written Spanish. The goal of these programs is to provide the student with basic language skills and functional fluency.

08:00 - 10:00 = Spanish Classes
10:00 - 10:20 = Coffee break
10:20 - 12:00 = Spanish Classes
15:00 - 17:00 = Extracurricular activities, (time varies), optional and free.

Our Programs Include:

Pick-up from the airport.

20 hours a week of Spanish Lessons: Monday to Friday. 8:00 a.m. to noon with a 20 minutes break at
10:00 a.m.

Extracurricular lessons: Costa Rican Cooking Lesson, Tropical Fruits lesson (only at first week) and Latino Dancing Lesson (once a week).

Homestay with a Costa Rican Family including 3 meals a day, plus laundry service (no underwear) once a week.

Free wireless internet at Campus if participant brings his/her own laptop or smartphone.

Jaco Beach, south of Puntarenas and north of Manuel Antonio on Costa Rica’s Central Coast, is a sanctuary for surfers and fun-lovers – but most of all, fun-loving surfers! Jaco is also one of Costa Rica’s Top Ten Beaches.

Along with the surfers came the need for nightlife. Now, Jaco is Costa Rica’s wildest party beach, and a top destination for wave-worshippers and land-lubbers alike.

Playa Herradura: Less than four miles north of Jaco, mellow Playa Herradura is fast becoming a top surfing beach in its own right, especially for those eager to escape Jaco’s boisterousness.

And Jaco is indeed boisterous. Discos, nightclubs, casinos, and dive bars populate Jaco’s streets (try Disco La Central, La Hacienda, Beatle Bar, or The Jungle). Fortunately, there’s plenty to see and do in Jaco that doesn’t involve buckets of Imperials. For sport fisherman, the party is out at sea. The beaches north and south of town are much more scenic and safer for swimmers.

Eco-tourists enjoy horseback treks, canopy tours, and hiking through the bordering jungles. The best destination is the Carara Biological Reserve nine miles north, a vital nesting ground for scarlet macaws. Because the macaws migrate daily, it’s best to hike the reserve’s hour-long trail at sunrise or sunset, when they’re most active.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Jacó based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
