"No good for day students"

Vadim Dubois, student from UK

I was the only one using the day course facilties. All the other students met the night before.
I was told to be at 8.30am at the school, no one was there. The school started at 9am.they all went to the cantine for lunch and I didn't understand where I was supposed to meet them so I spent the afternoon on my own on the campus. Everyday, I was alone for 3h between the lessons and afternoon activities. Activities were mainly freetime in different towns. We went to London and again I didn't understand the instructions and was on my own around the city. This might be a good we didn't do any activities suggested in the brochures. I left lunch time on the last day as I was fed waiting around every day. The course might be good for full board students but not at all for day students.

"Not good"

Mohammed Nassir Alkhaldi, student from Saudi Arabia

Not good since they didn't teach very well. They didn't look after the students and they mixed beginner students with high level students. They only did lecturer and looking after the payment.

"The best experience that I've ever had in my life."

Katherine Dubraska Vega Avariano, student from Venezuela

The teachers were so kind and friendly. I think the best teachers were Tony and Keirse. They taught really well and everything was easy to understand. I would recommend this school if you are a beginner because they don't have any advance classes. The location is perfect, it's near the train station and you have many restaurants nearby to choose from. I stayed in the hotel provided by the school. It was okay if you only stay for less than one month, because is quite expensive.

"Good teachers but not a good organisation"

Laetitia Gervais, student from France

Brighton is a perfect place to learn English language and to move in England. Teachers of Sprachcaffe Brighton are very good and very nice. It's perfect to meet new people (From a lot of different countries). The organisation of Sprachcaffe isn't perfect, no internet access, no possibility to change of classes. I have not learn a lot of things in 2 weeks. In the certificate it's written the attended percentage, not the English level...

Thank you for your feedback, we’re glad that you enjoyed beautiful Brighton and the high quality of our teaching. All of our teachers are highly qualified and very experienced at working with students from different cultures and levels.

We welcome students from all over the world to our school, some for just one week and some for several months. Therefore class levels are very important to us, so that all students receive the best learning experience possible. All students take tests based on the Cambridge English exams on their first day, and at the end of every week. Teachers and school staff are always happy to speak to students about their progress and there is always the possibility to move level, if the teacher believes the student is ready. All of the feedback from your teacher and your three different test results indicated you were in the correct level.

Free wi-fi is available throughout the school, and classes are organised to help students develop both their English and effective study skills. Teachers use a coursebook as a framework, but plan their weekly lessons according to the needs and requests of students. During your time here, we encouraged you to discuss this with your teacher, and also provided extra homework on grammar issues you asked about. We’re sorry that you felt two weeks wasn’t long enough for you to develop further. From the students who have finished studying with us so far this year, 95% felt that their English had improved, with others also mentioning they needed to stay for longer to see more improvement.

On completing a course at our school, all students receive a diploma providing full details of their level, dates studied, and attendance percentage. If you have lost this certificate, please contact us for a replacement.

Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.

If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying.
