ULearn English School Dublin
At ULearn, we believe one of the best methods of assessing and recognizing your progress as a student of English is by taking one of the internationally recognised external exams such as the IELTS, Cambridge First Cert, or Cambridge Advanced.
These exams can be used for a whole range of purposes such as a university application, or evidence for an employer, or even to pass through immigration in countries such as Canada or Australia.
The IELTS exam is most commonly used to show a student's level of English in order to gain admission to a third-level course that's conducted through English. The IELTS exam differs from the Cambridge exam insofar as students cannot fail the test. Students who attempt the test score between 1 (non user) and 9 (expert user). Normally, the minimum band required for a course is 5, while university courses normally require between 6 and 7.
The IELTS preparation course we offer at ULearn prepares students in the best possible way. We use actual exam questions and the public band descriptors for the writing and speaking sections to help our students make steady progress and understand their strengths and weaknesses in relation to the exam so that they can focus on improving their weaknesses and achieve the band they need.

Our academy is located beside Saint Stephen's Green, right in the heart of the Dublin's city centre. Overlooking one of the most picturesque parks in Europe, students have the convenience of stepping out of the school to the pedestrian shopping areas of Dublin. Additionally the ULearn centre is well served by public transport and a free bike rental scheme, which allows all our students ride around the city without incurring costs. It is a wonderful, safe environment for learning!
This year at ULearn English school Dublin practically everything was perfect; excellent organization and attentive and prepared teachers.
Both classes I attended were well thought out and helped me improve my english, especially speaking.
The activities offered were also quite varied, only there was not much participation.
At the end of my course I came back with a cultural and personal baggage that I could not have acquired in any other way.
A more than positive experience in a family, from the welcome to the meals.
The only thing that did not make my stay totally perfect was the location and having to take public transport was initially difficult, but this is because I am not used to taking them where I come from.
I loved to live this experience!
Ireland is a beautiful place, full of things to do and Irish people are really friendly: so, I think that it is one of the best places to learn English and to have remarkable personal grow up.
In the school, I created good relationship with my teachers and the guys.
I only had difficulty with this with one person, but I believe that you can’t expect the perfection towards everything and everyone!
I had a beautiful experience in the Ulearn with a good teacher in level B2 course.
Another facilitation of the school was the fact that they are connected with a travel bus agency with lower prices to visit some places near Dublin.
The lessons are focused on Cambridge exam and this could help anyone who decide to do this difficult exam.
In my opinion for the service received: without books, pens, etc.. prices must be lower even if you don't do a course of 5 weeks (range in which you pay less), but was a good comprise referred on prices and substance.
I learnt a lot at school but we haven't got any kind of social life
Neither with the school neither with the family. The family was ok but they didn't have me the lunch for the weekend. I think that it isn't an experience in a family. It was like being in a hostel.
I stayed in the beautiful city of Dublin for four weeks in which I met lovely people and spent wonderful time. My host family made me feel very welcome, I felt like I was at home! I found my morning classes at ULearn very useful. Lesson started at 9:00 and finished at 12:30. The teacher was great!! She made very interactive lessons that helped me and my classmates improve our language skills. In my class there were people from all over the world!! There were Brazilians, Spanish, Koreans, Japanese, French, south Arabians. So I had to talk in English for the whole time. This allowed me not just to be familiar with the English language but also to know new cultures.
The school is situated in the center of the city, so it was very comfortable to visit Dublin's attractions. ULearn provides trips and activities in the afternoon and in the weekends. The price is very good, some of the activities are even free! I especially enjoyed the language exchange. I highly recommend ULearn to everyone. It is really a great school that will help you to improve your English for sure!
At first, I didn't like my homestay. For me, it was a bad experience. Fortunately, the school changed this for me. I then stayed at a student apartment which was very good. I made a lot of friends who were very funny and very nice. My teachers were very nice and very helpful. I like them so much. When I went home, I missed them so much.

The location is good, but I'd prefer the housing to be nearer than it was.
I didn't think that my experience would be like the one that I had. I like the way that they teach at ulearn a lot. We learn grammar but we also learn how to use it in real life, and for me that is very important. The teachers are very close to the students and it is easier for learning. I was only there for 3 weeks, but they have been one of the best weeks in my life. I met a lot of people from all over the world and I've had the chance to learn about different cultures. Great experience and nice people that I will remember all my life. I'm very grateful. Thank you!
