The Intensive course is for students who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. The courses focus heavily on speaking and communication skills: the morning consists of 3hours (on Mondays) and 3,5 hours (from Tuesady to Friday) in communication skills. During the afternoon sessions (1 hour on Tuesady afternoon and 2 hours on Thrusday afternoon), the students focus ion special topics. These lessons provide the opportunity to learn the local culture and customs.
The classes stress the use of language in everyday situations. Students will work on grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary, while in the other 2 lessons, they will focus on reading, writing, speaking and listening. Textbooks (fgivent and ree for the students) and a variety of other materials are used in instruction, including role-playing, newspapers, magazines and other materials. Students focus on special topics and classes in the afternoon. Topics include: fluency practice, media studies, film and theater, local culture, current events, politics, and research using the internet. Intermediate and advanced students also have the option of studying in the test-preparation and business classes.

CLE is an independent institute for French studies located in Tours. It has many years of experience of teaching abroad and has built itself to be a school described as friendly and with a positive working atmosphere. Its ability to attract students of various nationalities ensures a multicultural French experience. In order to facilitate language learning, classes are never larger than 7 students. As a result, more individual attention is given to each student by the teacher. The school occupies a renovated 18th-century building with a 15th-century cellar and a rooftop terrace.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged 150 € when you register.
