The nationality and age mix at Learning & Living at teacher´s house varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 18. In the summer, the average age is 23.

VN does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.

The Full immersion program is the program involving you totally in the language environment, so you are not only learning the German language during lessons but also apart from the classes. The private atmosphere encourages you unconsciously to speak German free without any inhibitions. The teacher will instruct you not only during the lessons but all the time. In this program, you get rid of daily traveling to and from school and of contact with any students speaking your mother language.


This is the best opportunity for one´s experience, living with and being taught by the private teacher. In some cases, you can be placed in a German family and a teacher comes daily to you for giving lessons. The advantage of such a program is - listening to German speech from different parts. This supports your listening comprehension.

After the classes the learning process goes on, as you participate in the family's daily and social activities, taking part in the life of a typical German family as any family member. This way you learn the mentality of the culture, which gives you the opportunity to get the feeling for the language in its natural environment, so you 'live the language'.
The students can book from 10 to 30 private lessons per week with your teacher within one to 12 weeks.
