Course description

This course is designed to provide a combination of English learning alongside a mixed leisure programme. The junior students have 15 hours of General English and 6 hours of Grammar and Active Communication skills per week. This is combined with 2 full day excursions and 2 half day excursions or activities with evening socials such as barbecues and discos also included!

All was very worthy. And I highly recommend Severnvale. The teachers are very good. The location is perfect. And the academy is very familiar. Every weeks are social meeting in order to know each other better.
The village Shrewsbury is perfect to submerge in English culture. The host families are nice too.
All is perfect. For me, a very good experience.

Severnvale’s junior course is based at Shrewsbury School which offers residential accommodation within the school’s boarding houses; with a range of options including, single, twin and dormitory style bedrooms.

Meals at Shrewsbury are taken in the purpose-built catering hall, where students can choose from a wide variety of foods from the self-service counters.

The School’s multi-million pound sports complex offers a wide variety of choice for activities at Shrewsbury School during your stay with us. Alongside games, social space and TV rooms in the Boarding Houses we have other excellent leisure facilities which we are proud to offer.

The residential team are on hand throughout your stay to offer support, advice and daily catch ups to help assist you and feel at home. We are always happy to help and you can look forward to a warm welcome from our team.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from . Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.

If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged £ 45 when you register.
