On the weekend, we played board games and watched TV. I was only with my guest family for 2 weeks, and I wish I could have stayed longer. I had my own bedroom and bathroom, so it was super luxurious. I learned so much Spanish from them.
The school was within walking distance from my guest family's house. Super convenient!
Classes were 1:1 instruction with amazing teachers who were knowledgeable and personable. They took a vested interest in my learning. With 5 hours of 1:1 instruction at the university and having meals with my guest family, I think I learned over 2000 words in those two weeks, countless idioms, and a crash course on Mexican culture.
I appreciated the experience so much I will recommend it to friends and family.
The staff was wonderful, location was great and felt secure. My 9 year old daughter took the classes and I felt safe leaving her at the location.

The 12 and 9 year old said that it was like camp. They were fully immersed during the day, so they learned a lot via immersion and fun activities. The 6 year old said that his class was more like childcare, but he was doing activities in Spanish as well. The teachers were kind, and I felt very comfortable leaving my kids with them. During a few afternoons, they went to a summer camp at the University with local kids (who didn't know English). This was fun and challenging for them as well. The director was always willing to work with us if we needed to make changes to the plans. We did not enjoy Cuernavaca very much as the security concerns there definitely made everything nerve racking. We made housing arrangements on our own, so I cannot speak to housing. The school facilities themselves were absolutely beautiful.

I preferred conversation from Grammatic; in my gusto too much verbs and tempo irregulars and not enough full sentence teaching.
I liked very much the "conversation" hour outside in the beautiful garden.
The teachers showed plenty of Patience.
All in all a very good package.
Mucha s gracias¨

Enjoyed my time at UINTER - over 4 weeks of 9 hours daily with one-on-one instruction I developed confidence in my own language skills. However, I wished the language learning would have had a more cohesive feel. My 3 instructors did not communicate with each other to lesson plan in a way that would expedite my learning, and the standards for the learning were much different/lower than I was used to in the United States. That said, I so enjoyed my house parents and definitely improved my Spanish. I just wish I would have received a more curated experience.

We had plenty of time to go over the grammar, ask questions and practice oral expression. I also appreciated the variety of courses (grammar, culture, conversation with the teacher or with Mexican students) in a day, as well as the breaks every 50 minutes. It helped me stay focused through the 6 hour class. This course really met my expectations for a short course (one week only).
I was disappointed with the fact that no excursions were taking place during my one week stay.
My teachers were excellent and very committed. All school staff were extremely helpful and friendly. School activities fell for lack of participants ( Easter holidays ). Staying with the family was very personal and allowed insight into the ' normal life ', as it is otherwise not possible. All were very helpful and forgiving of my poor language
