Course structure: 20 lessons General English + 8 lessons Special Interest Groups per week
The General English lessons will be dynamic, interesting and rigorous and will take place in the mornings, so sometimes in afternoons during summer.
The Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are designed to develop students’ specialist skills in English, or to give them experience of additional subjects which interest them. They will be able to apply English to a range of practical situations for study, work, or cultural interest. Students can choose from a wide range of SIGs, which will vary according to location and required language level, and are always subject to availability. All SIGs are included in the price of the course.

Kings Brighton is a new purpose-built school in the welcoming and diverse student city of Brighton — the latest of 8 Kings locations in the UK and USA, offering English language and pre-university academic courses.
The school building has been designed and constructed to Kings' specifications as an international college, with light, modern spaces and state-of-the-art facilities to offer a great learning environment. Classrooms have interactive whiteboards, and there is a well-resourced library and Computer Learning Centre. There is also an on-site residence and cafeteria which make it the perfect place for international students who are looking for a home away from home.
Kings Brighton is located in the student-friendly London Road area of the city, with a variety of shops, cafes, bars, entertainment, and an indoor market right on the doorstep. It is directly opposite a popular park, which has benefited from recent investment and now includes a skate park, modern cafe, art installations and green space.
The school is around a 20-minute walk, or short bus ride, to the city centre main shopping area, entertainment and the beach. It is less than 10 minutes' walk to the main train station, for direct trains to London in one hour.

The new purpose-built school is in the vibrant London Road area, popular amongst Brighton's student population, and known for its independent shops, entertainment venues and market.
It is just a few minutes' walk from the main train station and the central, unique North Laine shopping area. Bus stops to all parts of the city are a minute's walk from the school.

Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Brighton. These homes are often between 10 - 30 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from . Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.
If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged £ 65 when you register.
