STUDIOITALIA is an Italian language school for foreigners founded in 1985. For the last 30 years, the school has been one of the most important Italian language teaching centres in Rome. The Italian school for foreign students is located in the very centre of Rome only 5 minutes from St. Peter's Church and just off Via Cola di Rienzo one of the most important commercial streets of the city right behind Piazza del Popolo. The school accepts a maximum of 10 students per class, in order to guarantee the highest level of quality of the course as well as the relationship between students and teachers. Small classes ensure that every student has an opportunity to practice their language skills and to participate actively in each lesson. Our method of Italian language teaching focuses on the student's expectations, needs, and personal learning style. We work with our students to offer a learning environment which helps them achieve their personal goals while studying Italian. A general communicative approach is combined with all the newest didactic techniques and teaching strategies, allowing us to customize the learning path and the program for each individual student even when in the same course as others. Our Italian teachers are prepared to work with different language learners with different needs and are able to offer all students the chance to learn and improve in every single lesson, listening to their requests and communicating with them in every aspect of the learning process.
The development of communicative skills and of the ability to speak in real-life scenarios such as at work, school, a party or in social relationships, has always been the priority in respect to the study of grammar and of the more formal aspects of the language. This does not mean that during the course grammar and phonetics are not studied, though they always have secondary importance.
Our Italian courses are dynamic and require active participation by the students, respecting their own learning pace and expectations, without forcing anybody to speak without spontaneity, and at the same time stimulating a relaxing, productive, and at times genuinely funny communication.
The nationality and age mix at Accademia StudioItalia varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 28. In the summer, the average age is 27.
StudioItalia teaches students from all over the world, including:

The Italian school for foreign students is located in the very centre of Rome only 5 minutes from St. Peter's Church and just off Via Cola di Rienzo one of the most important commercial streets of the city right behind Piazza del Popolo. The school is surrounded by cinemas, restaurants and a wide variety of shops.
Very close to the school are two metro stops, OTTAVIANO and LEPANTO, and the whole area is very well connected to public transport.
The sI am an adult intermediate-level speaker but have never lived in Italy. I arranged my own apartment nearby. The Prati neighborhood is upscale and very pleasant. The Metro is very close. All the teachers, I would say that I met 5 in two weeks, with 3 classes per day, were professional, nice, motivated, and very good teachers. The book is good and is widely used. The classes were small and well organized, and I paid for a private hour in the afternoon. There is a good mix of practical conversation and grammar.I was never in a level that was too high or too low; they were very adaptive in this way. I did not participate in social activities except on my own, and Rome has everything of course. I was only there for 2 weeks but wish I could go back.

I hope to return to the school again soon
The professors are very good, welcoming, interesting and dynamics.

Especially the teacher Luna was very good, but Constantino was also fine.
The lessons were well organized and entertaining, despite the short time (1 week), I learned a lot. The location of the school was perfect, I would go back anytime.
I can not say anything about accommodation, since I had a private hotel.
Classes, teachers and activities were great . The staff was very helpful.
I really enjoyed my one bedroom room. The only advice i would give is i had
To take the 49 bus from the apartment to the school everyday and the owner
Of the bnb has to explain how to get there . I feel as though the school
And advisors should have communicated a little better with directions
And public transportation options ahead of time before figuring it out the day
I arrived .
classes were very well organized. Teachers really good, locations was perfect. next time i would like to have the opportunity to do it longer.

The staff were mostly excellent, friendly and they welcomed us well.
Special thanks to Marco and Anna; they were very inspiring and really, really good at their job.
Class sizes were often greater than what we wish that would have been and unfortunately most of us all find Valentina's teaching too difficult, even unpleasant.
Everything was fine. There was only one drawback in reaching Rome. We had no indication as to where we were heading. We were only told that we should take the subway to Battistini and hope that we see the place. Because of a misunderstanding, the person who was assigned to pick us up did not arrive, and we had to call and wait. It would be advisable to include a map for better orientation.
The accommodations were excellent. There were very complete facilities and our host was always present when required. The experience was in an enriching neighborhood.
We had very professional classes. The dedication of the teachers and their efforts to make the classes enjoyable and entertaining was remarkable. This is all in addition to the great atmosphere of the school.
Hello Silvina, thank you so much for your review and constuctive criticism, we will do our best to improve our servicves.
I want to let you know that the teachers have read your message and we all can't wait to have you and Jesus back at Studioitalia. :)
Baci!!
It was a nice school in a good location!
The classes counted up to 8 people so there was much time given for each student. The teachers were great and enthusiastic.
The teaching material was simple but sufficient, and the price of the classes were not to high priced. If you don't speak any Italian at all then it could be difficult to start the beginner’s course, try to learn some basic in advance! The course I followed didn't start with basics, like counting and others, but even then, I had a great time!
Enjoy!
The classes we followed were not real beginner’s classes, so they were too difficult for us.
The teachers were very good, helpful and funny. The location was good. The facilities were maybe a little old fashioned, with copies and an old radio to listen to songs. The activities were available if you wanted to attend them. We didn’t need housing as we had our own apartment.
Overall it was a very nice experience with great teachers, but for a starter it was a bit too difficult. We expected to learn more about things like how to order in a restaurant, ask the way, learn to count, how to tell time, and others, but we had a good time.
I really liked the classes and the facilities. Regarding the activities and its monitors - all were interesting and friendly.

Dear Matias,
Thank you so much for the lovely review you wrote.
We hope to see you soon again here at Studioitalia.
Classes: great
Teachers: proficient
Location: excellent
Facilities: excellent
Activities: excellent
Housing: very good
The composition of the class was very colorful and stimulating. The topics about which we have spoken were varied and interesting. The teachers are helpful, patient and very competent. Even as older participant, I have always felt comfortable. School location is perfect and so you can just practice what you learned. Only in the Winter it is quite cold at school : - )
Unfortunately, I can not say about "housing:" I've booked my accommodation myself.
